Five reasons to use local composting

  1. You'll be giving something back You'll be supporting your local city farm, which provides a wealth of educational and social opportunities for schools and the community.
  2. It's good for your garden Local compost makes your garden more resilient to disease and infestation because it puts back in the bugs it's used to, rather than introducing alien bugs from another region or even country.
  3. Save time and money Regular compost use means you can cut back on synthetic fertilisers and the amount of watering you need to do.
  4. It's eco-friendly Reusing your organic waste cuts down on landfill and garbage incineration, which can cause a range of environmental problems.
  5. Join the cycle of life Do your bit for a sustainable planet by converting your green waste back into a product that will help more plants and your vegetables grow--in your very own garden...
