Runts This is the largest exhibition fancy pigeon and is a very old breed. These pigeons were brought to England by the Romans when they were a popular table bird. The famous housekeeper Mrs Beeton has written a pigeon recipe in her famous housekeeping book. Nowadays there are only a handful breeders. The Runt has a large head in a clean conventional shape, with a medium length but strong beak. Size is very important and it is said that they cannot be too large. |
