Rabbits

Giant English Lop
Although a giant, it is by no means as large as the Vlaamse Reus. This breed is the original lop. The Giant English Lop is of a more slender build than their French cousins; their ears are also much longer. The rabbit is not an active rabbit and can get fat. They can live up to seven years. They can produce large litters between five and twelve kittens.

Vlaamse Reus
This rabbit originates from Belgium; it is thought that it derives from another large rabbit which is now extinct, the Patagonier. The Vlaamse Reus is an enormous rabbit and despite their gentle nature, are not recommended to be kept by children, due to their heavy weight. Litters can be big, up to twelve kittens. The adult animal can weigh up to 8 kilos.
