Islington Young People Discover is part of LBI Recreation and Adventure Programme for young people aged 13+

Farming Families Activities are open to children of all ages and their carers on a drop-in basis. 

Tuesday 19th February

10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm         Islington Young People Discover Animal Care

Learn about caring for and handling the animals on the farm.

2pm -4pm                               Farming Families drop-in and meet the animals.

Wednesday 20th February

10.30am-1pm                         Islington Young People Discover Herbs and Spices- Learn about the herbs and spices we grow on the farm and help us start sowing seeds for the summer.

2pm-4pm                                Islington Young People Discover Feltmaking

2pm-4pm                                Farming Families felt making drop-in session

Thursday 21st February

11am-1pm & 2-4.30pm          Islington Young People Discover Construction Skills – Learn how to mix concrete, build a wall, paint and prepare metal work whilst helping to renovate the farm.

11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm         Farming Families drop-in and make a beeswax candle

Friday 22nd February

11am-1pm & 2-4.30pm          Islington Young People Discover Carpentry.  Learn how to use basic woodworking hand tools to build a garden bed on the farm.

2pm-4pm                                Farming Families drop-in and make a willow fish or butterfly

Donations warmly welcomed

Young people taking part in Discover Sessions must complete a registration and consent form. Children under 11 years must be accompanied by a responsible carer.
